It was one sunny, beautiful day that we decided to go on a trip with my girlfriend. I told her, "I wanna do a trek, do you have any recommendations?" (yes, she also loves trekking as much as I do) , and she recommended the beautiful Osmeña Peak. On our way going there, we had to do it the easier way, riding a bus, getting a habal-habal to the tip where we can have a 30-minute walk going to the peak. To be honest, at first I was like, hmmmm. Not much of the adventure I expected. But then we stayed there overnight with a few campers. It was a cold night and it was fogging. We were in front of the majestic view of the mountains. We waited till 5 am to start our 7 hour journey to Cawasan Falls.

So before that, there is an easier and a faster way to get to Cawasan Falls. Children or tourist guides will give you an offer to go to Cawasan Falls for 3-4 hours with a tour guide fee of 500 or depending on how you can negotiate.

What made ours fun and not the typical -- It was both (my girlfriend and I) our first time. We went to do the harder road with the view of the mountains and natures on our own phase and on our OWN. Yes! OUR OWN. We didn't pay any tour guide or anyone to take us there. We started our trek at 5:00 am. Had a little coffee in a small store overlooking those mountains, then packed water and some chocolates for some energy. Then we started our adventure. I got lost to the beauty of the nature, and to be honest, it was one of the best trekks I ever had. I have been to many trekks but that trekk just completely blown me away.

We were literally walking in a forest with no roads. We are lucky that every 200 m we find people we can ask directions to, else we'll end up camping in the middle of nowhere.

And so our little adventure ended at exactly 12:45 pm -- we reached in the highest level of Cawasan Falls. It was exactly a 7 hour 45 minutes trek and it was all worth it! I would definitely come back and do that trek again! :)
